Education: Secondary education or equivalent
Additional coursework in accounting and finance preferred
Experience: Four (4) years related work experience in accounting or finance environment

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as payroll clerk cum account assistant
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles
  • Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations
  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. EasyPay and Oracle)
  • Exquisite math and numerical skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving
  • BA in accounting/business administration/Human resources is a plus

Job description:

  • Find solution to discrepancies by analyzing and evaluating information.
  • Handle accounts and payroll related matters timely.
  • Give responses to and answer payroll and accounts inquiries promptly.
  • Handle payroll and accounts transactions by adhering to procedures and policies.
  • Carry out regular clerical functions which involve faxing, filing, copying, and emailing.
  • Revise diverse spreadsheets to maintain precise records.
  • Establish and manage reports within payroll and accounting system.
  • Safeguard payroll and accounting transactions by ensuring confidentiality of information.
  • Work as support on payroll procedure and policies and offer backup for other personnel in the payroll department.
