Position Overview: Job Summary
This is a supervisor role responsible to lead a team of individual contributors in WI and OH that provide After-hours and Track and Trace services. Responsibilities include managing the shipments after standard business hours and ensures timely and accurate tracking updates from our carriers. This also includes providing an escalation point for customer and carrier issues. This role is accountable to support customer and FedEx P&L strategies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal business leaders to create and manage internal SLA’s (service level agreement) as required
Collaborate with Quality in the creation and compliance of work instructions and SOP’s
Ensure tracking / tracing of shipments across both lines of service are completed timely and accurately.
Responsible for the resources and assignment of task to support After hours services across both lines of service. Services include but not limited to:
• Answer phone calls and order entry
• Off-shift support to Track and Trace team
• support toll free # -Support general inbound emails
• defect mgt
• close 1st load
• Load recovery
• load consolidation, entering of new shipments, and first tender of freight
• Customer credit request approval
Escalation point for carrier and customer Afterhours and tracking issues and requests.
Provide necessary tools and training to support efficient and accurate track and trace and Afterhours services
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Teammate / Leadership Development
• Create vision of education roadmap (skillsets needed to support service offerings)
• Performance Mgt (skill development, coaching, feedback, recognition)
• Talent Mgt (increase knowledge and skills through specific opportunities) and Succession planning
• Participate in the interviewing and selection process of new candidates
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required.
A High School Diploma is required for this position
A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation Management is preferred
Two or more year of demonstrated leadership experience in transportation logistics or customer service to include directing the work of others in a supervisory capacity
