Position Summary:

Shifts:
Tue  -  Sat 5 x 8 hours  16:00 – 01:00
Sun – Thu 5 x 8 Hours 13:00 – 22:00 (Sun 10:00 – 19:00)
Sun – Thu 5 x 8 Hours 21:00 – 06:00 (Sun 17:00 – 02:00)

Salary: £20,602 to £22,662 Dependent on experience

Location: Marston Gate (Bedfordshire)

The Transport Despatcher is a member of the Transport team ultimately reporting to Management and working alongside the Transport Supervisor. Dealing with all the daily Transport Administrative tasks that allow the Transport Supervisors to maintain supervisory control of the LGV drivers and fleet. Previous knowledge of transport road operations would be an advantage in this role
Provides high standard service support for the Depot/team and managers by carrying out all transport office functions in an efficient and cost effective manner following all relevant legislation with regard to the Company Operators Manual. Encourage process improvements (i.e. which may improve services/reduce cost/improve health & safety/housekeeping etc.) through ideas/suggestions to Supervisor
