As a Hub Supervisor you will monitor KPI`s and performance of the team, delegate workloads and ensure subcontract and agency costs are kept to a minimum.
This role is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager by supervising a team of Hub Handlers and Drivers (who are mostly self-employed), and help to maintain and improve operational efficiency, cost & service levels, with damages kept to a minimum.
Health and Safety is paramount, you will lead the way by ensuring that you and your team are compliant in all areas of H&S. You will be responsible for ensuring that your team are processing freight in line with operational compliance and within restricted timeframes to ensure we are meeting the customers’ needs at all times.
The successful candidate will have;
- Proven experience in a supervisory capacity preferably industry relevant
- Strong communication skills
- Great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- The ability to engage and inspire the team to achieve results
- Capability to report correct information to colleagues regarding vehicle usage
