Position Summary:

Position Summary

You will serve as a Solution Architect for software development/integration activities for modern platforms delivering value for the sort domain.  You are a solutions expert, at the business unit level, developing the most advanced solution architecture for highly complex and significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders.


Execute enterprise and domain strategies to deliver consumable solutions to improve the efficiency of business and IT teams. Collaborate with leadership, peers, business partners, architects, and enterprise teams to align strategically with business modernization and organization transformation goals. Educate team members on emerging industry trends, digital technology, and IT best practices while contributing and collaborating with the technical community of Enterprise, Domain, and Solution architects within the organization Provide Solution Architecture support within our Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) by:
  • Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and explore solution alternatives
  • Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context
  • Work with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish high-level Solution Intent, and the solution intent information models and documentation requirements
  • Establish critical non-functional requirements (NFRs) at the solution level, participate in the definition of others
  • Work with portfolio stakeholders, notably the Enterprise Architect, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enabler epics
  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning and Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt ceremonies
  • Define, explore, and support the implementation of Agile Release Train (ART) and program enablers to evolve solution intent, working directly with Agile teams to implement them
  • Plan and develop the Architectural Runway in support of upcoming business Features and Capabilities
  • Work with Product Management to determine capacity allocation for enablement work
  • Support technology/engineering aspects of Program and Value Stream Kanban items
  • Provide oversight and foster Built-In Quality


  • Proven experience as an Architect in software development/integration activities for modern platforms
  • In depth understanding of business concepts and ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understood business terms
  • Working knowledge & hands on experience of the Software Development Processes and lifecycle management using Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of Cloud and API Management technologies
  • Embraces a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate
  • Proven ability to lead several complex projects concurrently or large projects with multiple work streams
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and employee engagement and empowerment skills

Desired knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Working knowledge of The Open Group Architectural Framework (TOGAF) Standard
