Performs Human Resources (HR) duties related to employee and labor relations, recruiting and hiring, training, and affirmative action. Advises on policies and procedures for compensation, benefits, and organizational planning to business area managers and directors.
•Provides guidance, support, and direction in all aspects of HR Administration within assigned departments.•Maintains internal and external applicant tracking systems; screens employment applications, interviews applicants, evaluates work history, skills, education and training, compensation needs, and other qualifications.•Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, co-ops, and interns.•Conducts new-employee orientations and general FXG onboarding efforts.•Participates in job fairs and on-campus interviews; develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.•Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.•Interprets HR policies and procedures for employees and management.•Assists business area managers on various administrative, employee relations issues and questions regarding compensation, benefits, Equal Employment/Affirmative Action, employment law compliance, and performance improvement programs.•Assists with the coordination and communication of human resources programs, projects, and initiatives within assigned areas and collaborates with Field HR within area of responsibility. •Participates in training and developmental activities supporting human resource initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required. In addition to Minimum Experience, high school degree or GED and four (4) years employee relations or HR generalist experience is accepted in lieu of degree.
Six (6) years experience required in human resources or related area.
Required Skills, Abilities and / or Licensure
Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications. Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information. Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed. Ability to lead project teams and consistently drive for results. Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs. Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations. Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies, and procedures, related to field operations and Human Resources preferred. Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment and general personnel practices, recruitment/employment practices, compensation and benefits administration. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
