Job Description

Assist and support internal and external customers by investigating exceptions, claims and (Over/Short & Damaged) OS&D incidents. Educate centers on proper freight handling and OS&D fundamentals. Support creation and updates of OS&D policies for the company.

1. Investigate overages related to shipments at service center locations for quality descriptions and possible placement prior to forwarding to cargo risk for credit against freight claims with shipper or for disposition
2. Assist and serve as point of contact for service centers regarding OS&D matters
3. Review service center self-assessments as needed to evaluate the service center understanding of policies and procedures
4. Review daily shortage reports to assess value, support high value issues for OS&D staff, and identify timeliness of OS&D shortage investigations
5. Review developments for OS&D system, policies and procedures and submit enhancements/recommendations through TeamForge for approval, as needed
6. Partner with OS&D staff to investigate missing shipments, utilizing video cameras and tracking numbers to locate freight
7. Complete responses for customer non-conformance requests
8. Provide information to government agencies and other customers as directed by Security
9. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
10. Perform other duties as required

• Must possess high school diploma or (GED) equivalent
• Two (2) years’ experience in clerical support or transportation operations
• Experience and ability to use Microsoft software Word, Excel and Outlook
• Basic knowledge of OS&D fundamentals
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with various levels of internal and external customers
• Basic knowledge of LTL freight handling procedures and daily operations
• Well organized and detail oriented

• Must be able to travel to meet business needs
