This will be domiciled in the SOEA Region

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Support regional operations by providing expertise and leadership through the execution of various special projects to include the development and communication of strategy and analysis of overall operational performance. Plan, organize and coordinate various initiatives and provide guidance through the application of process management, QDM principles and analytical techniques. Act as a lead liaison representing the region with business partners.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide expertise to Senior Executive leadership on special projects and activities aimed at improving efficiencies
2. Provide direction and oversight to Operations leadership team on overall strategy as well as tactical plans to ensure focus on execution
3. Facilitate, lead, and monitor QDM efforts in the region to ensure further integration and adoption of QDM methodology at all levels of the organization
4. Lead strategic process improvement projects and collaborate on new technology solutions
5. Identify trends in performance and work with Operational management to drive continuous improvement and develop strategy for improved performance
6. Ensure proper compliance monitoring of operational procedures
7. Act as a liaison between operations and customers, both internally and externally
8. Ensure minimal exposure to risk through review of contracts engaged from sales, procurement and other areas
9. Lead projects and initiatives related to any operational changes both long term and short term to ensure implementation occurs with minimal impact
10. Collaborate in the development of tools designed to improve performance in all areas of people, service, and profit
11. Act as point of contact for regional field employees regarding operational policy, procedures, processes, and budgets
12. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
13. Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, engineering or other quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience plus seven (7) years’ relevant experience in project and/or operational leadership, which includes experience evaluating, planning and implementing operational changes and/or improvements
QDM Expert or QDM Coach certified
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
Strong leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to create, prepare and present reports
Ability to effectively lead project teams, provide direction, guidance plus mentorship, as needed
Ability to develop and maintain relationships throughout the organization
Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applicable computer system/programs
Strong communication skills (written, verbal and visual)

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to travel as needed
