Customer Service - Operations Services Coordinator

This is a second shift position and the hours will be 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Utilizes phone and computer to route and dispatch shipments in an efficient and expedient manner. Performs well-defined logistics tasks under supervision while acquiring entry level orientation and training.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Receives calls from vendors and customers. Routes shipments to and from vendors and customers; seeks assistance from management on complex routings. Maintains high level of customer service. Assists customers to secure delivery. Expedites and edits orders.
· Ensures that carrier past due freight bills are resolved. Monitors carrier performance levels. Inputs freight bills as needed.
· Provides required reports to customers and supervisor. Maintains and updates computer database. Assists in providing logistics solutions to customer problems. Saves freight dollars for customer through improved routings.
· Utilizes methods and procedures that facilitate achievement of branch financial goals. Recommends changes in operational methods and procedures for improvement. Carries pager during off-hours as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position
0-2 years of progressive, related experience is required for this position
