Job Description


Responsible for supporting and administering the Canadian recruitment strategy, the FedEx Freight Culture Shaping model and the Canadian Diversity and Inclusion program.


1. Administer the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for all recruiting requirements, including posting internal and external opportunities

2. Screen candidate resumes for minimum qualifications; short list candidates for pre-screen process

3. Conduct telephone pre-screens and coordinate interviews

4. Conduct reference and criminal background verifications for selected candidates

5. Act as liaison between FXFC and agencies for temporary hires

6. Support the Culture Champions of the Living PSP program for Canada by distributing communications, organizing monthly conference calls, rolling out new programs and initiatives and coordinating education sessions

7. Act as lead for the International Chapter of the Business Review Teams (veterans, women, etc.)

8. Liaise with Diversity team in the US to roll-out new programs and initiatives

9. Coordinate and participate in recruiting/job fairs and FedEx Cares events

10. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

11. Perform other duties as required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of high school education and four (4) years human resources work experience

Two (2) years’ recruitment experience required

Human Resources designation – preferred

Bi-Lingual (English/French) preferred

Knowledge of all current federal labour and employment laws

Intermediate level of experience with Application Tracking Systems required

Ability to be creative, problem solve and work under minimal supervision

Possess sensitivity and tact in dealing with employees and management

Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize effectively and work on multiple tasks effectively

Proficient with Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Infrequent overnight travel may be required
