Job Description

Manage FXFC Operations Support function and provide guidance and support through leadership of various special projects and analysis of overall operations and performance. Plan, organize and coordinate various initiatives and provide guidance through the application of process management, QDM principles and analytical techniques

1. Provide overall direction and support to Operations Support team including selection, education, development and motivation
2. Support, educate and motivate FXFC operational employees on compliance issues and operational procedures
3. Support strategic projects and corporate initiatives as assigned, ensuring objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters
4. Act as central liaison and support FXF Operational Compliance team for all FXFC snapshot initiatives and assessments
5. Act as point of contact for field and corporate employees regarding operational policy, procedures and processes
6. Identify trends in performance and work with Operations management to drive continuous improvement and develop strategy for improved performance
7. Determine operational education needs and serve as point of contact for service center questions/concerns
8. Oversee FXFC policy and procedure governance, through ownership of Operational policies and procedures and initiating quarterly review for corporate business owners
9. Build and maintain solid relationships with management and business process owners throughout Freight and the FedEx enterprise
10. Support Sales and Marketing through onboarding of new accounts and the development of special account procedures
11. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
12. Perform other duties as required

• High School diploma, required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and four (4) years of directly related work experience
• Five (5) years’ experience in transportation, including experience with operational protocols and process development
• Two (2) years’ leadership/supervisory experience, preferred
• Experience and ability to use FedEx Freight core Operational computer systems and applications, preferred
• Knowledge of LTL industry, preferred
• Proven leadership, decision making, problem solving and interpersonal skills, e.g. conflict resolution
• Possess excellent project management skills
• Multi-tasked oriented and possess excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (documentation, interaction with all levels in the organization, etc.)
• Experience using Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the Internet
• Thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures, preferred

• Must be able to travel as needed
