Manage functions and activities associated with providing financial planning, analysis, measurement, and decision support to management. Support the development and achievement of company financial and strategic goals. Provide leadership, technical direction, and coordination of effort across organizations and for internal customers. Identify business issues and develop recommendations for improved financial performance.
Manages professional level financial planning and analysis (FP&A) staff who analyze and report financial results. Lead and coordinate the production of business plans, forecasts, and financial analyses that align with or support the achievement of company financial goals. Develop effective business partnerships across the company. Provide exceptional support by acting as a financial consultant to operations, the finance organization, management, and other internal customers. Apply advanced technical skills to a range of business and financial results. Effectively communicate complex financial information. Manage and oversee procedures, processes, and personnel related to monthly close, journal entries, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, eliminations, accruals, financial statement preparation and reporting, tax, capital, leases, asset management, audits and other areas of financial responsibility. Identify, initiate, lead and/or manage special projects driven by company needs, business conditions, new strategic directions or opportunities. Produce and/or oversee production of insightful financial analyses that drive management and investment decisions. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial information. Develop and maintain documentation and support for key processes. Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems. Search for and implement process and service improvements. Keep abreast of changes in standards and procedures. Maintain financial controls and work to safeguard company assets. Develop, communicate, and adhere to company financial policies.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or a related quantitative analytical discipline. MBA or CPA preferred. Six years professional experience in financial analysis, financial planning, reporting, business consulting, project management, information systems, accounting, audit, or operational analysis. Experience in transportation or customs brokerage industries preferred. Excellent managerial, leadership, and communications skills, and strong attention to accuracy and detail. Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, organizational, financial and computer skills.
