Provides innovative and replicable freight forwarding/brokerage professional services in support of FedEx Trade Networks transport & brokerage, inc. And will create value through enhanced FedEx core services revenue and margins. This will be accomplished through interface with management and professionals within FTN and with others in all oPCo's and with customers. It includes the evaluation, design, and implementation of engineering models, operating scenarios, plans, procedures, processes, etc. Designed to increase revenue, enhance customer service/satisfaction and reduce costs.
Provides project leadership in corporate and departmental projects impacting consolidation/deconsolidation, transportation, systems interface, invoicing, and delivery of new products and services. Works with operations, it, and other support groups to determine the significant service quality metrics and the underlying key performance indicators. Develops and validates the necessary data to support the metrics and indicators. Presents and justifies the measurement being used to upper management. Performs statistical analysis to identify root cause analysis. Works with operations to effect operational and system changes to positively affect performance/measurements. Develops and implements models to estimate future staffing needs and financial impacts, to determine the actual productivity of current staff, and/or operational cost impacts. Develops or directs the development of standard operating procedures. Works with operations, it, and training to develop and implement FedEx trade network system improvements. Prioritizes system change requests using cost/benefit analysis. Conducts working sessions, operational reviews and individual coaching sessions to support others in their use of technical analysis and modeling tools. Supports the implementation of quality driven management tools within the organization.
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related engineering discipline. Master's degree preferred. Seven (7) years professional ie or related experience. Must have experience with MS Office, ms project, and visio. Strong analytical, project management, communications, and human relations skills. Ability to incorporate the impact of multi-operating company requirements into workable solutions.
