As an E-Commerce Worldwide Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling cross border technology and solutions in the e-commerce space. Worldwide Account Managers will lead the technology sales process through consultative selling to include: identifying opportunities, working directly with FedEx field sales, designing strategies, pricing and proposals. Target e-commerce retailers will include merchants of all sizes with a focus on "internet retailers top 1000” or other large volume opportunities that are identified within the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
With little or no direction, this position must attain and/or exceed designated closing objectives for new customers. Researches, locates, defines and targets key business prospects. Manages and maintains a portfolio of target client accounts. Develops and implements national sales account strategies to meet financial objectives. Acts as key internal stakeholder for product management initiatives vital to FedEx’s long-term growth. Works with some of FedEx Cross Borders highest profile retail clients to drive international e-commerce sales and launch key marketing and e-commerce initiatives. Builds relationships and identifies the prospects' needs for the products or services. Utilizes a consultative selling approach to emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities. Contacts prospective customers by cold calling, client visits, networking and customer appointments. Participates in customer interactions, demos, and calls virtually or in person. Negotiates and estimates sales and prices, including contracts and volume. Secures major new business and helps support existing strategic accounts. Provides market information such as current trends, sales techniques, and application of products in various markets. Tracks activity, prepares and maintains records for sales leads and account status within the customer relationship management system to document interactions. Develops internal relationships with field reps and their international counterparts to garnish lead generation opportunities. Coordinates and attends events and outreach, tracking marketing campaigns and evaluating sales success.
Bachelor's degree/equivalent. Five (5) years previous sales experience with a minimum of two (2) years selling to large businesses or selling to the "c" level required. E-commerce experience and a firm understanding of API technology is preferred. Must possess understanding of global transportation procedures. Must have excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills in order to offer solutions that fit customer needs. Must be a self-starter and self-motivated to accomplish sales goals and objectives. Must have very good organizational and time management skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, excel, word). Extensive travel required.
