Evaluates and tests software programs to verify that the programs function according to requirements. Documents software defects with defect tracking tool. Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken. Read training manuals, confer with users, and conduct operational procedures to investigate and resolve problems and provide technical assistance and support.


Ensures compliance with corporate SOX initiatives with regard to system availability, service level agreements, and data confidentiality. Develops training materials and procedures, and/or instructs in the proper use of hardware and software. Develops and/or maintains control matrices for SOX requirements, process summary reports, and test plan summaries. Reports, tracks, and determines priority for discovered effects. Ensures all deliverables meet or exceed quality standards. Executes test scripts against sarbanes-oxley controls and documents findings. Analyzes results of test scripts to determine required remediation. Facilitates expedient remediation for non-compliance problems found during the documentation and testing stages of sarbanes-oxley controls. Applies continuous knowledge of various applications to gain proficiency. Tracks all problems through remediation's by monitoring the efforts of those involved and proactively following up and pursuing expedient solution by engaging all associated parties. Tracks and maintains required application, system, change management, security, network, and operating processes for it management reviews. Confers with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications. Performs validation needed to ensure all deliverables meet standards. Facilitates the yearly IS&T policy and procedure review process along with the yearly distribution and acknowledgement of IS&T policies and procedures to all it staff. Provides trending analysis and identifies variation/anomalies using metrics. Performs transportation system setup and maintenance of existing application static tables. Monitors the process of trouble tickets through the use of help desk tracking software. Compiles and reports on service quality indicators. Maintains IS&T change management, and policy and procedure documentation. Ensures standardization with regard to change management as per department policy. Provides backup to the weekly change management facilitator and distributes notifications of upcoming changes to all it staff.

Associate's degree/equivalent in computer science, mis, data processing or related discipline, or proven equivalent in experience. Two (2) years experience required in applicable field/industry. Knowledge of software engineering principles, applications analysis and quality assurance techniques preferred. Documentation techniques, knowledge and skills with windows desktop operating systems, application software, linux operating systems, and windows server operating systems required. Working knowledge of sarbanes oxly compliance regulations. Advance verbal and written communication skills are required for documentation, organization, and interaction with management, peers, and business community. Ability to communicate projects of various size and complexity. Ability to quickly learn and assimilate information. Familiarity with FTN systems, client service, network & lan technology preferred.
