FedEx Logistics Office of the CIO Chief of Staff IT Manager has the focus of centralizing organizational process management to provide a consolidated executive view for leadership development, compliance, regulatory requirements, enterprise foundational services adoptions, Renewal efforts, workforce management, and promotion of QDM and Living the People Service Profit Culture.


  • Responsible for driving the long term vision of ensuring Go BIG Renewal, Focus Forward, Move to Cloud and many other strategic initiatives are achieved.
  • Responsible for organizing all the work needed for the new Business Agility Transformation office, preparing for governance meetings, following up on action items, and ensuring full visibility to the Portfolio Demand across each of the Value Streams.
  • Incumbent will represent “Office of the CIO” and be responsible for "the business of IT" - develop and report on key metrics, IT compliance (AVERTs, PCI, SOX), and financial reporting in partnership with the Logistics Finance team.
  • Leads the team who will handle workforce planning, change management and culture, including recruiting, training, Sense & Adapt, University internship and hiring coordination, as well as other duties as assigned.  "Office of the CIO” team is vital to ensure we modernize our services so they are adopted to provide the capabilities needed for business value.  
  • Leads in planning, definition, support of all SVP business planning. Ensures SVP organization is aligned with enterprise Multi Year Planning effort, distributing appropriate business related matters across the organization, follow-up and aggregating feedback for submission to Officer and staff.

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in computer science or other related curriculum.  Five (5) years of experience in the applicable information technology arena required: development (web, e-commerce), system (Linux, Windows), support (service desk, technical), or quality assurance.  Management experience preferred. Work experience in the transportation or brokerage business preferred.  Extensive knowledge of and experience in information technology concepts is required, including specific knowledge of information analysis and identification techniques, database analysis and design.  Strong management, human relations, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Presentation skills needed to effectively present technology based solutions and concepts to FXL's management.  Must be able to respond to serious information systems problems of service interruption 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
