Position Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sourcing and Procurement for a Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Atherstone. The role will see you doing  daily contractual, commercial and sourcing activities relating to strategic Suppliers, including the management of tactical suppliers as and when required

You will be leading sourcing activities to support the Professional Services category ensuring commercials and contracts meet business requirements. Organise, prepare and carry out Supplier Commercial and Contractual review meetings, take ownership of issues and problems and manage an appropriate action plans to a successful resolution while taking into account financial targets.

Within the role you will be responsible for: -

  • Sourcing goods and services within the Professional Services category which includes Travel, Professional Services, Temp Labour and Mobility services.
  • Assisting in management of the large outsource contracts including management of change requests, contract change notes and third party contracts.
  • Building relationships within your own category regarding the contracts on behalf of the customer organisation, enabling a good working relationship through effective communications. (The supplier of a service may be internal or external).
  • Point of commercial and contractual escalation for the supplier and internal stakeholders. Own the resolution and escalation, providing arbitration in situations of conflict.
  • The negotiation and analysis of contractual changes, disputes and renewals, performing initial investigations and feasibility studies on behalf of the customer organisation, highlighting areas of risk and benefit, to gain stakeholder approvals.
  • Working with the legal department, throughout the supplier management lifecycle to ensure contracts use the correct language and conform to company legal policy.
  • The management of risks and issues, work with stakeholder’s to put action plans in place to manage key risks, according to the organisations risk appetite.

To be successful in the role you will have: -
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement activities.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts for the supply of Professional services.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional and virtual teams.
  • Resilient and adaptable to change.
  • A strong track record of tough decision making balancing risks with commercial outcomes.
  • Experience in creating executive briefing summaries and business cases to support sourcing activities.
  • A proven ability to lead results for high profile and time sensitive projects within a high pressure environment.
  • Strong skills within excel and proficient with word and powerpoint.
