This position supports current and future growth of the company by increasing productivity and efficiency through organizational effectiveness-focused initiatives. This will be accomplished by successfully using organization development competencies, experiences and methodologies to present and apply interventions for maintaining and improving individual, teams and organizational effectiveness. Works with others to assess, build, launch and evaluate process improvements by applying proven tools and methodologies. This job will support the company’s organization effectiveness and development initiatives and programs including talent management, selection tool development and validation, performance management, succession planning, leadership development, coaching and mentoring programs, culture initiatives, change management and applicable structured interventions. Supports strategic projects for the business and organizational development efforts on cross functional and cross-operating company teams.

Supports cross-functional or departmental teams in defining, researching, building, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating organizational effectiveness by applying tools, practices and methodologies. Uses a variety of methods and tools to determine individual, teams/groups and organization effectiveness opportunities and strengths. Works collaboratively with senior leadership, management members and others to take action and evaluate success. Counsels and advises upper management on the potential impacts of organization effectiveness projects on the core areas of the business.  Works with Company leadership and others to foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization. Leads cross-functional teams in the development of plans, goals, and objectives for completion of a project.  Develops project schedules and budgets as necessary. Assigns duties and responsibilities to project team members.  Directs and coordinates activities of project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.  Provides status reports to upper management. Directs, participates and/or partners in human resources development projects and programs,  including competency development, assessment/selection tool development and validation, succession planning, pipeline programs, performance management, development planning, culture initiatives, change management, employee engagement, coaching, mentoring and talent planning.  Researches, develops, and maintains relationship with vendors; negotiates contract including the preparation of project specifications, completion of bidding processes, and creation of statements of work. Other job duties as assigned. 

Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development (OD), Organizational Behavior, Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology, Human Resources (HR), or related field with coursework in leadership development required. Master’s degree in OD, Organizational Behavior, IO Psychology, HR, or related field preferred. Four (4) years’ experience required in organization effectiveness or development. Experience in applying organizational development methods, processes and tools for identifying and organizational effectiveness opportunities. Strong, project management skills with a proven ability to drive projects to completion.  Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management. Experience at working with team members at every level of an organization.  Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals. Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience analyzing data, draw conclusions and make recommendations. Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions. Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
