This Director is responsible for exploiting the value of FedEx Logistics information assets by improving insights used to make decisions, automate decisions, monetize data and grow company revenue through effective information management practices and capabilities.


Work closely with Operations, Engineering and IT to deliver data-oriented solutions to improve Operational productivity.  Work closely with FedEx Logistics customers, Operations, Engineering and IT to deliver data-oriented solutions for our customers ensuring real-time information for planning and execution and predictive analytics for proactive monitoring and decision making.  Leverage analytical skills and QDM to identify, quantify, and solve FedEx Logistics challenges by leveraging best of breed digital technologies.  Identify and establish collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to effectively design, implement and deploy scalable solutions that address customer and business problems.  Lead and deliver major data and analytics driven initiatives and business transformations around key strategic business drivers.  Lead the implementation of the Data Focused Renewal Tenet across FedEx Logistics, ensuring that every Application Development team fully understands the origins, content, relationships, lifecycle, and restrictions of all of the data that it consumes and produces.  Plan, organize and execute the corporate data strategy for the organization through collaboration with internal stakeholders.  Provide leadership, direction, coaching and development of direct reports creating a high performing team and culture of open communication; promote teamwork and cooperation within team and throughout the organization.  Facilitate vendor management across direct technology partners.  This includes vendor selection, vendor relationship management and developing objectives and monitoring metrics to ensure timelines, value and quality of work.  Support and advocate process improvements through QDM and the ABLE process.  Ensure compliance to Global Data Privacy and Sensitivity regulations by establishing the appropriate Data Governance practices.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.  Ten (10) years significant related IT experience including demonstrated management experience.  Must possess sound business judgment and the ability to develop and execute against IT strategies.  Prior leadership experience in Data Management, Data Architecture and/or Data Analytics, and demonstrated success in accelerating speed to business value, and data security through an engineered approach.   Strong business partner interface skills, excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are essential for this position along with experience working directly with FedEx customers. Experience with architecture and working with cloud-based computing services a plus. A demonstrated track record of innovation and driving business and technology strategy and results in a fast-paced environment.  Experience with industry leading ETL and data analytical tools and data platforms.
