Under general direction, analyzes specific business requirements and systems design, and transforms user requirements into automated processes


Develops solutions based on user requirements to refine business processes and provides detailed design proposals including estimated time required to code, test and implement solutions. Develops and/or modifies software for low to medium complexity projects which achieves the business requirements. Documents the automated processes, modifications and data files. Develops standard programming language code, screen images, command procedure code and data files. Codes, debugs, documents and tests new or modified programs. Conducts reviews of completed system test results with manager in preparation for unit testing. Complies with all IS&T policies and procedures including the SOX and gdp mandated change-management procedure.

Bachelor's degree/equiv in comp science, mis, or related discipline required. Two (2) yrs exp in syst dev required. Knowledge of software engi- neering principles, applications analysis, developement techniques, documenta- tion techniques & source code control is required. Ms office suite & lotus lotus notes & familiarity w/these tools is preferred. Candidates must possess good written & oral communications skills & be able towork well in a team environment. Candidates must also have good problem solving, multi-taksing, cust svc & organizational skills. Preferred SAFE Agile methodologies. ***Specific skills required for each focus area are listed below***
Web Applications: Java, Oracle, SQL, SpringBoot, Angular
mainframe: exp. W/datacom, dataquery, cobol le, cics, rpg, jcl, zos operating system, mq, syncsort, roscoe, tso, ispf, and datatrieve. As400: exp. W/query400, cobol 400, cobol le, dds, sda, SQL, db2/400, cl & various components. Knowledge of websphere/java and image/content mgmt are preferred. Alpha: open vms os in a compaq alpha cluster, cobol and datatrieve.
