To sell FTN's services to parties engaged in goal import/export activities to increase assigned territory revenue. The parties include, but are not limited to, prospective and existing customers who can use additional FTN services, carriers and shippers, trade associations and government agencies. This position includes, but is not limited to, working with the regional sales director to resolve anticipated and unanticipated customer problems in a timely manner and with minimal negative effect on FTN; acting as a liaison with other account representatives and customer service representatives; contributing to the positive morale of the FTN sales team.
Volume/quota: with little or no direction, attain or exceed designed territory objectives for new and existing customers. Calendar year revenue objective for this position is approximately $1,000,000 (U.S.). Marketing: 1. Establish,implement and document a strategy that identifies business potential in the territory and form assigned key accounts, 2. Obtain, maintain and demonstrate a complete knowledge of all key acct. Business and their needs, 3. Obtain, maintain and demonstrate a complete knowledge of services offered by FTN T&B and contribute to the development of FTN T&B svc/product literature & sales material,...Cont. ---> (Cont.)...4. Demonstrate the use of financial marketing and consultative selling, 5. Understand and effectively use FTN T&B and other FedEx resources, 6. Play a leading role in developing & implementing strategic and tactical marketing programs to meet and exceed required business volumes. Territory mgmt.:1.Customer relationships-develop, document & execute a territory mgmt. Prgm. To incl. Calling on existing key accts., 2.Customer satisfaction-demonstrate & maintain knowledge of customer satisfaction survey results & assist in keeping FTN personnel focused on enhancing cust. Satisfaction to ensure a solid FTN/customer working relationship 3.Territory participation-take a leadership position in the territory... ...W/participation in trade, logistics & transportation associations to ensure FTN has visible presence in the territory. Willingly assist others and play a lead role in regional and national customer councils, 4.Problem mgmnt.-Resolves anticipated/unanticipated problems w/minimal negative effect while significantly enhancing customer satisfaction. Business mgmt.: 1.Operations-provide timely & accurate 30/60/90-day forecasts for the respective territory including, expenses, revenue, & new acct. Aquisition. 2. Controls-ensure that required reports are timely and accurate. Professional responsibilities: 1.Ownership-act as liaison betw. Customer & other FTN functional areas(cust svc, regional acct. Coordinators,etc.). Obtain materials to maintain industry knowledge appropriate to territory, 2. Leadership-contribute to the positive morale of all FTN associates and in particular, the marketing and sales team. Seeks participation in company-wide programs. Provides advice and counsel...(Cont. Assist in developing training programs, materials, and participate in the training process in a classroom environment and on customer calls. Bachelor's degree/equivalent. Previous min sales experience of 4 yrs. In depth knowledge of int'l trade service w/emphasis on customs regulations and procedures in the U.S., Canada, and mexico as well as transportation procedures and regulations in the three countries. Excellent listening skills in order to identify customer needs. Excellent communication and presentation skills in order to offer solutions to customer needs & resolve any problems to customer satisfaction. Self-starter/ self-motivated to accomplish sales goals and objectives. Very good organizational skills and time management to help w/territory planning and maximize selling time. Strong self-confidence to assist in developing territory relationships in a highly competitive and price sensitive environment and to capitlize on "cold call" opportunities.
