Responsible for the Global Sales Operations team and all of their efforts, work products, projects and programs including but not limited to: sales performance reporting; compensation processing and reporting; Sales technology platforms; project oversight, compensation design and analysis, performance data and reporting; program management; sales performance analytics; sales organization design and alignments (simulations). In addition, the Senior Manager will provide mentoring and coaching to the second department manager to build department continuity and competency. Bachelor’s degree/equivalent, preferably in business administration. MBA highly preferred. Five (5) years management experience in Sales operations role to include direct experience in leading teams and initiatives in Sales organizational design, Sales role definition, definition and production of Sales performance KPI’s and experience in Sales goal setting and variable compensation design. This position requires strong skills in basic management, communications (written and verbal) as well as project oversight responsibilities. In addition, demonstrable expertise and understanding in the use of computing tools including competency in SQL, SAS, Excel, Access, Tableau and PowerPoint. Direct experience and knowledge of the FedEx Sales organization strongly preferred. Must be able to design, develop and implement programs, tools and metrics focused on improved overall sales performance.
Oversees the overall administration of programs including sales performance reporting, performance analytics, and development and reporting of metrics. Responsible for selecting, training, motivating, and developing a staff of 5+ professionals. Serves as quality manager for FTN sales administration, which involves implementation, training and project management of quality driven management program. Manages the design, development, reporting and analysis of sales compensation programs and sales organization alignments and assignments. Works with sales executive management to establish annual sales revenue goals. Liaise with sales management/leadership to understand the support, reporting and program necessary to enable the sales organization to achieve their goals and objectives. Oversees the overall administration of special projects assigned to the department focused on driving improved sales performance against specific performance objectives. Reports project status and inter-dependencies to all impacted groups and recommends alternative plans, when necessary, to maximize effectiveness. Participates on various committees and project teams, which requires interfacing with all levels of management from multiple operating companies. Provides support for and participates in the design, development, implementation, and follow-up of projects related to sales planning & compensation (internal and external) and support. Facilitates and participates in bi-weekly department meetings to provide clear direction on team assignments, identifies obstacles and barriers and communicates the strategic objectives. Maintains and updates weekly department project tracking to ensure deliverables are on time and completed as planned.
