Position Summary

The Network Fulfillment Specialist manages print orders from the Office and Print Centers (OPC) and eCommerce to the Manufacturing Network. After performing the necessary evaluations, the Network Fulfillment Specialist prepares orders, schedules and routes jobs to the proper facilities using tools and systems provided. Manual entry of order information may be required. The Network Fulfillment Specialist functions as the print manufacturing specialist for the Manufacturing Network.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the routing of print jobs from the Office and Printer Centers to the Manufacturing Network, while leveraging network efficiencies and/or load balance over the entire print network
  • Analyze order production and transportation requirements to optimize network utilization and maintain all network (and customer) due times
  • Support jobs submitted for network production via various channels including retail, eCommerce, Commercial Fulfillment, and National Bid Center
  • Create, maintain, track and update production schedule for the Manufacturing Network using scheduling software tools
  • Modify, assemble and preview orders and print detail for optimal print manufacturing
  • Consult with Office and Print Centers on high value orders/customers to determine optimum production and transportation solutions
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining a series of process improvement initiatives to determine optial workflow
  • Maintain various goals and service levels, such as follow-up times and number of orders processed
  • Provide outstanding customer service via phone and email to both OPC and Manufacturing Network team members
  • Assist with mentoring new team members
  • All other duties as needed or required

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years print production experience
  • 3 + years customer service experience
  • 1 + years technical experience related to pre-press workflow and image file formats
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with digital file preflight, imposition, and job ticketing tools preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Must be willing to work in different shifts, as needed, to cover hours of normal operation
  • For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring
  • For current FedEx Office team members, must meet hiring criteria for the position and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook
