Position Summary

The Senior Program Manager Sales Ecommerce researches, plans, leads, develops and implements programs, initiatives and implementations to support Commercial Sales and its customers through the FedEx Office ecommerce roadmap. This position must manage the strategy and sales lifecycle from acquisition of new customers to the adoption of existing customers onto the FedEx Office ecommerce platform. The Sr. Program Manager Sales Ecommerce acts as a subject matter expert (SME) and provides proactive direction, operational expertise and consultation with various stakeholders, including but not limited Sales, Product Marketing, IT, Finance, and Operations Team Members and partners from other FedEx operating companies.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales ecommerce projects throughout all phases of concept, definition, development and launch; includes concept testing of new initiatives and implementations
  • Define sales related ecommerce project scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with cross-functional and cross-operating company teams and act as the sales ecommerce subject matter expert (SME) and communicate accordingly
  • Work to derive robust solutions, focusing on enhancements to the ecommerce customer experience and operational process efficiencies, across systems and process development activities (seek to simplify/distill internal cross functional processes and activities where possible and act as the SME for sales support)
  • Lead/ heavily assist with technical development, usability, design and testing of ecommerce systems/solutions; including, developing and documenting business requirements, including possible system applications
  • Act as the sales lead to shepherd system requirements/ enhancements throughout Marketing and IT processes (including prioritization/roadmap activities) as required to ensure sales requirements are properly understood across functions
  • Organizes and communicates commercial sales prioritization inputs including risks and revenue impacts to planned strategic roadmaps
  • Identifies initial/ongoing customer targets based on inputs from key stakeholders and business value being delivered for each planned ecommerce release
  • Develops working plans and associated communication documents in collaboration with cross-functional and cross operating company teams that enable Sales to qualify and target viable ecommerce opportunities; create detailed project plans utilizing Microsoft Project, link dependencies and identify/ communicate risks and opportunities
  • Assures sales business priorities are visible and communicated to key business partners including Operations, IT and Marketing
  • Identifies stakeholder impacts and organizes the right resources to make decisions for the commercial ecommerce customer
  • Schedules, coordinates and executes field sales visits in support of program pilots (alpha, beta, etc.), monitors operational readiness and performance; provides expert service for troubleshooting implementation and execution issues
  • Facilitates weekly cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment and understanding of sales impacts to drive sales and customer readiness for planned ecommerce releases
  • Prepares executive-level presentations, including usage of relevant data as appropriate, and conduct/lead project updates to cross-OpCo senior leadership on overall status, risks, opportunities, etc.
  • Works closely with Marketing and Learning & Development on ongoing development of sales tools, collateral and training
  • Act as the FXO sales ecommerce expert and team cross functionally ensuring any contract and termination rules of engagement are closely followed
  • All other duties as needed or required

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain and present complex information to all levels
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of data into accurate and actionable communications
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to make logical and responsible decisions based on pros, cons, tradeoffs and timing
  • 7+ years’ experience in Project Management, Sales Operations, Finance, or Marketing
  • 2+ years’ experience in Sales Support, Sales Operations and/or Sales Management
  • 2 years SAFe/Agile and IT experience preferred
  • Prior experience with common business software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Project, etc.) Experience with budget/cost development and management preferred
  • Strong process orientation necessary to understand project impact on existing and emerging operational processes
