Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent. Student has completed at least two years toward college degree. Enrollment as undergraduate or graduate student in business, communications, journalism, marketing, finance, information systems, supply chain management, engineering, computer science, data analysis, statistics, mathematics, or other related major.


Full-time internship opportunity from June 2019 to August 2019.

Under close supervision, the successful candidate will:

  • Sell FedEx transportation services to potential and existing business customers
  • Utilize multiple communication channels (phone, email, webinar, etc.) to identify new business and gain incremental revenue
  • Spend time with a highly professional sales organization and learn from some of the very best in the industry
  • Learn key selling skills and strategic approaches that will aid you to become a top performing selling executive
  • Gain negotiating tactics knowledge base that can position you to interact with C level decision makers
  • Focus efforts on three strategic pricing programs
  • Work closely with aligned sales professionals
  • Effectively leverage existing technology tools
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, resilience, adaptability, relationship-building skills, reliability, responsiveness, oral/written communication skills, innovation, and problem resolution skills
  • Proven track record of success
  • Desire for a career in sales
    The following are considered a plus:
  • Enrollment as an undergraduate at junior year or above or graduate student.
  • Ideally, plans to graduate within 12 months of completing the internship and begin full-time employment.

Expected Internship Program Timeline
  • Interviews typically occur October-January.
  • Offers are typically extended October-February.
  • Internship occurs early June-mid-August.
