This LTL sales position is aligned to the FedEx Worldwide Services global sales organization.  FedEx’s Worldwide Services handles some of FedEx’s largest and most complex client relationships around the globe.  This is a Freight (LTL) centric role reporting to a Managing Director of Sales.  The LTL Worldwide Account Manager will have approximately 5-7 clients and will work very closely with the Managing Director, other small parcel Worldwide Account Managers and a business analyst to formulate strategies to build and retain business. 

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
·         Outstanding track record of success in LTL sales (national account experience is a plus)
·         Strong demonstration of Solution Selling techniques to fortune 500 type companies
·         Strong business acumen and interpersonal relations
.         Ability to work in a high velocity environment while working with minimal supervision
·         Demonstrated ability to provide effective presentations to multi-level sales and C-level customer contacts
·         Knowledge of FedEx Freight and the broader LTL market
·         Ability to plan and work on multiple major, often high-visibility customer and/or internal assignments concurrently
·         Assumes responsibility with minimal supervision
·         Strong communication skills and reliance on strong internal and external network of contacts and resources
·         Strong leadership skills, working directly with customers at high levels within their organizations
·         5+ years progressive, related experience in transportation & logistics, supply chain management solutions (i.e. carrier, 3PL, etc.)

Responsibilities of this position include:
·         Meets revenue goals through a balanced approach of business development and business continuity activities. 
·         Develops and maintains relationships with senior level officers within the assigned client base.
·         Work closely with Managing Director and aligned business analyst to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for each client to promote revenue growth. 
·         Monitors competitor actions within each client to ensure that appropriate responses and strategies are formulated and communicated.
·         Maintains account strategy document that records sales strategies, account information, marketplace and industry information, competitive information.
·         Directs the development and implementation of appropriate FedEx sales and marketing programs with assigned clients.
·         Directs and executes problem resolution for assigned clients.
·         Some overnight travel required (30 to 60%)

Position domicile will be in the Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX markets. Other major markets such as Indianapolis, Memphis and North East locations may be considered.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business administration with a major in marketing, finance, or other related business field. Five (5) years commercial or industrial sales experience required. Demonstrated ability to achieve major account sales goals and to plan and execute major customer sales strategies. Strong human relations, communication, and negotiation skills. Heavy overnight travel required.
