  • Under moderate supervision, responsible for complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely closing of the general ledger, which may include, but are not limited to: preparation and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, budget variance reviews, research and analysis of assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal reporting
  • Ensure general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance with internal controls and GAAP and that internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Lead accounting initiatives/ projects including: process improvement, regulatory compliance/changes and policy
  • Mentors less senior staff

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required
  • Four (4) years experience in accounting for financial reporting in a public accounting firm or in a large for-profit corporate environment
  • A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements
  • Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP standards required
  • Outstanding knowledge of business software, spreadsheet applications and/or mainframe or web based applications
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills

Domicile/Relocation:
This position will be located in Collierville, Tennessee.  Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs.
