Job Description Summary:
Under close supervision, serves as a central point of contact for a defined internal/external customer base to consult, implement and address problems with customers on FedEx automation portfolio and/or FedEx deployed technologies. Responsible for installation and optimization of company's software products and systems at customer sites within an aligned territory. Provides solutions and serves as liaison between business customers and technology development. Special projects as assigned.
Job Specific Information:
Serves as central point of contact for an internal/external customer base to consult on deployed and emerging supply chain and e-commerce technologies. Uses independent judgment to make technical decisions and guides strategic direction for FedEx customers. Interacts with all customer levels including management. Initiates collaboration and provides consistent influence in a team-based, customer-oriented environment. Designs, develops and applies innovative technologies that enhance the customer experience. Provides on-going influence for enterprise projects that require a broader skillset and industry knowledge.
Proactively applies technology solutions knowledge to customer/sales opportunities. Effectively identify customer challenges to maintain existing volume, gain incremental business and identify customers at-risk to protect FedEx revenue. Experience in persuading others toward commitment and cooperation. Possesses technical acumen and uses probing abilities to gain full project commitment. Proven ability to analyze business needs, define accurate project requirements, recommend solutions and provide technical application design toward optimal solution. Provides guidance in the effective placement of innovative solutions. Skilled in coding and developing scripting tools, using various programming languages. Experienced in logical program flow and data architecture to develop intricate customer integrations. Program and develop customized integrated system applications for high revenue customers that creates additional functionality in FedEx platforms. Plan and execute unit and end to end testing to identify defects. Participate in code review for quality and best practices/performance.

Relocation assistance is available for this position but is based on business decision.
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Two (2) years equivalent work experience in computer support information technology environment, and desktop computing along with the ability to apply basic computer concepts, theories, principles and methods to projects, business problems, issues and/or questions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A related Master’s Degree equals two (2) years experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
