Position Summary and Essential Duties:
Under close supervision provides technical support of hardware, systems, sub-systems and/or applications utilizing telephone and remote diagnostic capabilities. May provide feedback and customer support regarding product performance problem and suggested solutions. May support a team of field service technicians and monitor, and otherwise assist lower level service technicians.

Job Specific Information:
Under close supervision provides second-level technical help desk support to internal customers experiencing technical issues including hardware, software, networking and other computer-related technologies. Typically provide support via telephone or electronic mode of communication. Responsible for the timely process through which problems are evaluated, controlled, including problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up steps. Responsible for feedback to level one, updating knowledge base articles, and possible training of fellow resources on new/updated products. Typically involves the use of problem management database and help desk systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree/Equivalent in computer technology, engineering technology. Requires two (2) years directly related experience. Bachelor's degree may count as experience. Working knowledge of MS Windows desktop operating system. Strong customer orientation, interpersonal and oral communication skills. Must be able to communicate with customers effectively and present ideas and solutions in a user-friendly language. Must be able to use a telephone, keyboard, and view a computer screen.
