General Job Description:
Provides leadership in the design solutions, implementation, and maintenance of databases. Performs root cause analysis, coding, testing, documentation and implementation of multiple, large development projects. Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Serves as team lead liaison between business customers, development and support groups. Coaches the development of less senior DBAs. Ensures deliverables.

Skills/Knowledge Considered a Plus:

  • Database design including VLDBs
  • Database administration support (approx. 500 schemas per DBA)
  • Data architecture including replication via Golden Gate and
  • Tools: Oracle 11 and 12c, ER Studio, DB Artisan, PLSQL, Service Now
  • Project management skills
  • Agile, DevOps, ITIL knowledge a plus
  • Unix Shell Scripting a plus

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Five (5) years work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
