Job Description Summary:
Provides leadership in the design solutions, implementation, and maintenance of databases. Performs root cause analysis, coding, testing, documentation and implementation of multiple, large development projects. Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Serves as team lead liaison between business customers, development and support groups. Coaches the development of less senior DBAs. Ensures deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Five (5) years work experience in information technology or engineering environment.

Additional Knowledge and Skills Considered a Plus:
-  Experience in working with Oracle databases (either in a development or database administration capacity) 
-  Experience with Oracle products (RAC, Active Data Guard, Golden Gate, OEM) 
-  Experience with Apache or DSE Cassandra
