General Summary:

The Programmer provides user support/consultation and technical, operational, and production support, has a strong familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, and is proficient in a variety of programming languages and utilities. Provide guidance to less experienced personnel, and rely on experience and judgment to plan an accomplish goals. 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Encode, test, debug and document associated software/programs. Review, analyze, troubleshoot, and modify core and customized software. Respond to escalated customer inquiries/requests for technical/operational support. Resolve escalated technical matters to meet customer service level agreements. Perform root cause analysis/fixes or corrective action of defects for more complex issues. Follow documented Software Development Life-Cycle standards. Participate or lead special projects and training, as required. Escalate higher level or complex issues to senior levels as required. Tests programs and systems to ensure they work as expected, and correct problems encountered during testing. Assists with analysis and provides programming services to modify existing programs and write new programs. Document procedures to standardize and maintain process controls. Follow the highest ethical standards in all business and professional activities.

Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or any Engineering field and two (2) years of experience in a programming, development, software, or related field. Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of college. Experience must include: Java technologies using Java 1.4 and greater; XML; Programming using SQL and PL/SQL; ESB Technologies - MQ 7; IBM Message Broker 9 (IIB); ESQL; Web Services; SSL Configuration; Adapters; Compute Nodes; Java/.Net Nodes; SOA/ESB/Integration Patterns; IBM IIB Toolkit; Eclipse; Linux shell scripting; and Microsoft Office applications.

Salary: $97,850.00 to $134,576.00 per year
