General Summary….

This position will manage facility level lean projects generating annual cost savings for their business unit. This position will lead and advocate continuous improvement methodologies and tools across the business and be responsible for facilitating project identification and implementation in coordination with facility operations.

This Position Will Be Responsible For…..

1. Analyze data and compile results to support continuous improvement efforts.

2. Work directly with existing customers and operations to identify process improvement opportunities.

3. Develop recommendations for process improvements and support the implementation of the recommendations.

4. Review and document flow in current operations using multiple tools, including value stream maps, process flow diagrams and AutoCAD.

5. Analyze complex problems, synthesis solutions, and demonstrate excellent judgment in technical trade-offs and analyses by presenting clear ROI’s.

6. Review order volume and storage volume data to support operational decisions.

7. Develop tools and processes to support operations.

8. Independently manage project deliverables and schedules.

9. Communicate with facility management personnel to support above efforts.

10. Perform process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, methods development, establishing performance standards/metrics, ROI analysis and project management as internal consulting services to the satisfaction of the Company’s clients.

You might be a great fit if…

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred and 4 years of relevant experience.
2. In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 6 years of relevant experience.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to all levels of management and customers.
5. Analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
6. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, work instructions, process maps and/or governmental regulations.
7. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of internal and external customers.
8. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
4. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
5. Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 8 hours per day.

Working Conditions
General office environment that is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available.
