The primary responsibilities of the Audit Specialist - Healthcare are to plan and execute internal audits of facilities within the healthcare business unit, in relation to compliance with wide-ranging regulations including those under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and the Controlled Substances Act.
This position will be responsible for…..
- Lead and perform internal audits across the organization.
- Create and maintain audit schedules.
- Prepare reports outlining audit findings.
- Research and learn regulatory requirements in order to effectively conduct audits.
- Support new startup businesses by performing pre and post start up reviews.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on facility requirements.
- Use the results of audits to identify opportunities for enterprise-wide improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred and 6 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 8 years of relevant experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in the audit field.
- Excellent communication, organizational, verbal, and written skills required.
- Prioritization and problem solving skills essential.
- High-energy level individual with strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills along with the ability to get along with diverse personalities – tactful in nature.
- Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment.
- Proven ability to establish credibility and be decisive but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences, priorities, mission and code of business conduct and ethics.
- Must be detail-oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy and work well under pressure.
