General Summary….

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining the facility in a clean, organized and safe manner.


This position will be responsible for…..

  • Responsible for maintaining the interior of the warehouse. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that the walls, columns, racks, stairs, etc. are kept in good repair.
  • Ensure interior lighting is kept in good working order and performing necessary routine checks on emergency lighting.
  • Ensure proper and regular preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner. This includes, but is not limited to, conveyors, air compressor systems, heating and air conditioning systems, fire & burglar alarms systems, wrap machines, compactor, baler, trailer dock locks, door locks, trailer chocks, floor scrubber, and battery area.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and repair of all facility equipment and machinery, understanding when outside assistance is required. Also included will be ensuring all calibrations are performed as required and maintain appropriate record keeping.
  • Responsible for maintaining the exterior of the facility, including keeping grounds such as walkways, steps, etc. free of litter, clutter and debris and kept in good repair.
  • Participate in facility tours or meetings with prospects or vendors when necessary.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience performing mechanical maintenance duties in a manufacturing/packaging environment, or equivalent combination of vocational education and experience.
  • Must have exceptional problem solving and maintenance skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Strong team player.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements

  • Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 10 hours per day.

  • Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift/carry items less than 25 pounds.
