General Summary….

The Revenue Accountant II is responsible for recording analyzing and reviewing financial statement balances related to FedEx Supply Chain revenue and accounts receivable.

 

This position will be responsible for…..

  • Review and approve medium complexity invoices.
  • Assist with customer meetings to review invoices and billing requirements as necessary.
  • Participates in month-end closing process – prepares monthly journal entries and adjustments, including supporting documentation.
  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations.
  • Prepares revenue and AR related analysis for monthly closing and reporting.
  • Calculate and record revenue accruals and deferred revenue.
  • Setup and maintain customer accounts, including customer sales tax certificates, and credit reports.
  • Review accounts receivable aging and collection reports for accounts with past due balances.
  • Prepare and report outstanding AR balances.
  • Works on special projects, prepares adhoc analyses, and audit requests as required.
  • Support and cross train other teammates.
  • Assist efforts to automate invoicing process.
  • Prepare monthly bad debt analysis and accrual.
  • Resolves write-offs by entering adjusting entries.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 2+ years Accounting or Finance.
  • In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED, and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
  • Experience with ORACLE ERP software is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office, including an advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to interpret contracts for proper revenue recognition.
  • Strong computer/data entry, organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in developing or implementing software driven billing system
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures including US GAAP & SOX
  • Customer service driven.
  • Strong team player.
