Job Title: Technical Application Analyst
Job Duties: Participate in all phases of customer implementation from requirements gathering, functional/technical spec and coding involving various customer integrations through APIS and development involving various technologies like J2EE, Oracle etc. Expertise in industry wide frameworks like Struts, Spring, etc., work with customer and FedEx architects on the proposed architecture and get approval before implementation. Develop technical specification adheres to the requirements approved by customer and architect. Engage during customer start-up support post implementation to support the newly implemented functionality of applications and components in multi-technology, business-critical systems. Analyzing and re-engineering repetitive failed processes to drive out risk. Maintain understanding of interface specifications and configuration options to ensure enterprise functionalities like EFS are fully utilized. Work with Business, Quality and Performance Analyst to define Unit Testing scenarios, Data set-up to provide a defect free roll-out. Periodically engage with database administrators to set-up a production like environment to simulate production like scenarios during system and performance testing. Provide a walkthrough of screens to business analyst and users during development and user acceptance testing. Provide for 24/7/365 coverage as needed using on call rotation in support of operations under time constraints and pressure situations like outages. Work with implementation and production support teams to transition new customer and development projects into normal day to day support activities. Completes special data requests while insuring data integrity and accuracy. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, the business community, external customers, consultants, contractors, and vendors. Stay up-to-date on current and future warehouse execution technologies, capabilities and trends. Develop and maintain broad awareness of the hardware, software, and networking components of Genco strategic system architecture. Follow change control methodology in day-to-day activities. Work to establish, maintain, and update strategy (methodology, processes, standards, tools, services) used in implementing supply chain systems. Follow corporate vision, mission and values in daily activities. Follow the highest ethical standards in all activities undertaken.
