Inventory Control Supervisor Sun- Wed 3rd Shift

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Liable for overseeing, directing and organizing the intake and dispatch of stock defined by business needs along with smoothly conducting all relating administrative duties. This includes being accountable for overseeing all functions performed by inventory control departmental associates.

  • Mentor and lead a team of inventory associates including any disciplinary actions as needed
  • Delegate work and responsibilities to team members along with ensuring proper attendance payroll records accurately retained.
  • Reinforce company policies and procedures while working with associates to achieve personal and company goals
  • Oversee all inventory and records ensuring daily reports and information are accurate
  • Compile inventory, production and personnel reports for review and analysis 
  • Coordinate with other departments to successfully resolve any inventory variances or interdepartmental inventory challenges
  • Analyze stock inventories along with appropriately archiving any records to be retained 
  •  Perform cycle counts as required or needed. 
  •  Plan, direct and execute physical inventories across all shifts and dates as needed 
  • Ensure all company departmental SLA are met by working with each department to comply with the quality standards set by the organization 
  • Controlled communication with customers, vendors, employees and other departments

  • Should possess strong supervisorial and management skills
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively 
  • Delegates and supervises well
  • Understanding and aptitude to work with computer inventory programs and software
  • Good interpersonal skills for interacting and coordinating work within departments of the organization
  • Should possess good mathematical and analytical skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA in related field preferred
  • Two years of supervisorial experience of 10 or more employees
  • Working knowledge of serialized inventory processes through a complete life cycle
  • Intermediate Excel and Word required
  • Intermediate Access and Oracle preferred
  • Fluent in English for spoken and written
  • Highly analytical and proficient in WMS system(s) along with ABC analysis, TQM, Lean manufacturing
  • Must be able to successfully work in a high stress environment
