Truck Driver
Pay: $22.96 per hour
Shift: 4 - 10 hour shifts between Monday & Friday
Location: Blawnox, PA 15238
The Truck Driver’s responsibilities involve delivery and pick-up, reporting, operations, customer service, safety and security of parcels and conveyance, and other duties as assigned by management. The Truck Driver maintains a positive attitude that promotes customer satisfaction and teamwork within the operations supported.
Primary Responsibilities
- Make round-robin pickups and deliveries in a timely, efficient, and effective manner to meet contractual quality standards.
- Pick up all released shipments from the local PLCB facility.
- Develop and maintain efficient primary and secondary routing systems.
- Establish organized and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed when handling trucks and shipments during pickup, transport, and delivery.
- Perform vehicle pre- and post-operation safety checks (e.g., lights, trailer door locks, wheel chocking).
- Obey traffic laws, including speed limits, stop signs, signaling, and maintaining safe operating distances.
- Report unsafe vehicle, equipment, or working conditions to the assigned supervisor.
- Maintain a clean vehicle at all times.
- Perform other duties in the warehouse as assigned.
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards.
- Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier (FMC) regulations.
- Must successfully pass a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) background investigation, if required.
