Engineer / Senior Engineer - Air Network Solutions
Description
We are seeking an Engineer / Senior Engineer to drive customer-focused air network solutions across the Asia‑Pacific region. This role leads high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that translate customer requirements into scalable, cost‑effective air network design solutions. The Engineer / Senior Engineer will manage end-to-end customer projects from concept through deployment and adoption, develop automation and planning tools, and partner with commercial, sales, operations, and airline partners to deliver reliable network solutions.
Key responsibilities
Customer linehaul leadership
- Lead high‑revenue, cross‑functional projects spanning air network, sales, sales solution, revenue management, commercial management, airline partner planning and operations.
- Serve as the primary air network advisor for customer linehaul requests, identifying opportunities for innovation and cost‑effective solutions that meet customer needs.
- Drive end‑to‑end project execution from concept through deployment, adoption and performance tracking.
Customer-driven network solutions
- Design tailored network solutions to support specialized or niche customer requirements across Asia‑Pacific.
- Ensure network design and airline partnerships align with evolving customer demand while maintaining operational feasibility and cost efficiency.
- Translate complex customer needs into scalable routing, capacity and schedule solutions.
Cross‑functional enablement & partner coordination
- Work closely with internal operations, procurement and planning teams to implement partner airline network solutions.
- Coordinate with third‑party vendors and partner airlines to ensure operational alignment, capacity readiness and service performance.
Automation & tool development
- Collaborate with data analysts and engineering teams to design, build and maintain automation tools that streamline planning workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Define requirements, prioritize features and support continuous improvement of planning systems and analytics.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, Logistics, Operations Research or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5+ years of experience in air network planning, airline partnerships, aviation operations or logistics network development.
- Experience working directly with airline partners or third‑party aviation service providers.
- Strong adaptability, analytical and problem‑solving skills; proven ability to translate operational needs into network solutions.
- Demonstrated experience driving cross‑functional initiatives and managing complex operational projects.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in cargo airline operations, express logistics networks or hub operations.
- Knowledge of air cargo networks, hub scheduling and airline scheduling principles.
- Experience supporting route launches, new airline partnerships or commercial implementation.
- Familiarity with commercial agreements, vendor coordination and operational contract execution.
- Hands‑on experience with planning tools, optimization software or scripting for automation.
