Information Technology Intern (Summer 2027) - Memphis, TN

Description

As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study.

Essential Functions

• Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience.
• Participates in various networking and/or community service events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Degree: Currently enrolled in a degree program such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Business Analytics, Management, Finance, Economics, Information Security/Science/Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or other related major.

Minimum Experience

No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and as a part of a team.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.

Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.

Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.

Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications: Graduate students preferred; undergraduate students welcome. Pursuing Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related degree. Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Gain hands-on IT experience supporting technology projects, collaborating with technical teams, troubleshooting issues, and learning how enterprise systems support business operations throughout the Summer 2027 internship.

Pay Transparency: Undergraduate interns earn $25/hour; graduate interns earn $30/hour. A $2,000 stipend is available for eligible interns relocating more than 50 miles for an onsite or hybrid internship. This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week. Onsite Mon–Thu; remote Fri. Immigration sponsorship is not available for intern positions. Sponsorship may be available for full-time, exempt positions, depending on the specific role and federal regulations. Sponsorship is never guaranteed under any circumstances.

Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour

Additional Details: Summer 2027 internship: 40 hours/week, June 7–August 13. Hybrid in Memphis, TN: onsite Monday–Thursday, remote Friday. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the office or relocate before start. No immigration sponsorship for interns.
