PH - Recovery Driver Non-DOT FT-2
Description
Responsible for the movement of packages and on-road support such as shuttling, bulk Pickup & Delivery (P&D), and priority service P&D recovery.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner.
Operator of company vehicles under 10,001lbs, performing shuttle functions and bulk P&D pick-ups.
Delivering priority service recovery packages to customers.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education:
High school diploma/GED required
Minimum Experience:
Have at least one (1) year with an active driver’s license and driving experience
Other Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be at least 21 years of age
Strong driving record and will require a motor vehicle background review
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, or over 50lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with others, follow work instructions, and recognize street numbers, addresses, highway signs and traffic control signals and devices
Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to both customers and FedEx team members
Must maintain neat appearance to represent the company
Ability to satisfactorily complete required training framework and any other eligibility requirements
Working Conditions:
May drive in various weather conditions to various customer sites for package delivery
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
May work in an environment with loud noise and fumes
May work in hot or cold temperatures

Pay: $20.70 to $22.20 Per Hour
Additional Details: Part-Time: Hours TBD - Package Handler/Courier hybrid position. Must be available (on call) after the AM sort for P&D duties, if needed.
