  • Recruit, coach and develop future team members as the function expands
  • May involve Travel within Australia and overseas
  • Work Monday to Friday professional hours, with hybrid flexibility once established in the role

What you’ll be working on

You'll work on the shipments, customers and problems that don't fit neatly into standard brokerage processes.

As the Clearance Broker Lead, you'll be responsible for helping establish and grow a specialist clearance capability that delivers exceptional customer outcomes while maintaining the highest levels of compliance and operational excellence.

  • Lead the resolution of complex and escalated customs clearance matters
  • Support the design and implementation of operational processes and procedures
  • Act as a key technical expert for specialist brokerage activities

  • Support training, knowledge sharing and capability development
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
  • Contribute to automation and system improvement projects
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company standards
  • Provide guidance and support on complex brokerage issues

What success looks like

  • Helped define how the new specialist customs function operates across Australia and New Zealand
  • Become a key contributor to the future direction of clearance operations across ANZ

We're interested in experienced customs professionals who combine strong technical capability with leadership potential and a passion for continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring to the team
