Description
This multi-level position will be hybrid in: Memphis, TN / Plano, TX / Pittsburgh, PA. Candidates must live within a commutable distance from Memphis, Plano, or Pittsburgh to be eligible for this role. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.
Strategy Planning Principal
Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, provides leadership in the development of the organization's strategic plan(s). Conducts environmental scans, organizational positioning analyses and other studies. Develops concepts into strategies Including quantitative analyses and recommendations; screens plans for strategic fit, feasibility and profitability prior to presentation to senior management. Coordinates input from all major business units to facilitate the Integration of individual business unit plans, best practices and global and multi-discipline perspectives. Conducts external research and quantitative analysis as required. Identifies, researches, analyzes and makes recommendations to support the organization's growth objectives.
Job Specific Details:
- Partner with leaders within Government Affairs and legal to develop public policy position
- Research federal cybersecurity policies and practices and understand the impact to FedEx of pending legal or change could impact FedEx
- Track federal policy developments to better support FedEx cybersecurity initiatives and recommend (if any) next steps
- Develop systems for tracking interactions with stakeholders, and ensure regular cadence of communication where needed.
- Maintain a library of bills and policies related to cybersecurity and collaborate with FedEx Government and Regulatory Affairs to maintain sources to guide our impact projections
- Participate in trade association working groups related to the development of cyber policy, in coordination with Government and Regulatory Affairs.
- Identify, anticipate, and advise on political and legislative developments, risks and opportunities in cybersecurity, in concert with the internal Government Affairs team.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) or more years equivalent work experience in information technology or business environment including project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement or market/competitive analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical and critical thinking ability with time management and management skills.
Strong communications and human relations skills.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. Pay: US pay range: $7,094.23 - $12,010.93 monthly
