Essential Functions

• Project-manage priority technical & business projects within Flight Ops & Airline Planning
• Analyze operational data to improve Safety, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Communicate business performance and project updates to leadership
• Exposure to or background in aviation (e.g., through military service, pilot training, formal study, or other personal interest)
• Analytical skills, including identification of trends and patterns in operational data and translation to actionable insights (through familiarity with use of e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Python, or other similar tools or coding languages)
• Project management skills, including ability to take ownership over a piece of a project and push it forward
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Degree: Aviation-related (e.g., aviation management, aeronautical science, aviation technology),

STEM/quantitative fields (e.g., Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics), Business (e.g., Finance, business administration, supply chain logistics)

Note: Flexible on major if candidate has demonstrated interest or background in aviation

Minimum Experience

No experience required.

Locations details: This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work productivity and productively, both independently and as a part of a team.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.

Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.

Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.

Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.

Pay Transparency:   

Pay: Salary is $25/hour for undergraduates and $30/hour for graduates. A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an on-site or hybrid internship or co-op experience.
