POSITION OVERVIEW:
Designs intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing user interfaces that meet both business requirements and user needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with product requirements and business goals
2. Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience
3. Collaborate with product managers, product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of designs
4. Maintain and evolve design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across products and platforms
5. Define and track user experience metrics to evaluate and improve design effectiveness
6. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $93,851.00 - $180,195.00 per year

Illinois Pay Ranges: Effingham, Kankakee, Lincoln, Quincy, Rockford, Aurora $100,421 - $160,674; Bolingbrook, Chicago Heights, Des Plaines, Elmhurst, Forest View, Joliet, Schaumburg, Summit-Argo, Zion, Buffalo $112,622 - $180,195

This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full/part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or related field.
• Five (5) years’ experience in software development, technical leadership or architecture roles
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable applications, microservices, APIs, or distributed systems
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
• Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and clarity.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and modern development frameworks
• Experience with relevant commercial applications e.g., Salesforce, websites
• Strong technical judgment to guide architecture and implementation decisions
• Leadership and mentoring skills to develop the engineering team’s capabilities
• Collaboration and communication skills to align technical solutions with product and business objectives
