Description

Drive data-driven decision making by analyzing complex datasets, identifying trends, and providing strategic recommendations to optimize operations, pricing strategies, and customer experience. Use data mining, predictive analytics and business intelligence tools to drive efficiency, innovation and support strategic initiatives.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Designs and implements advanced processes and analytics associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis, and prediction to enable informed business decisions.

2. Develop predictive models to optimize freight movement, and operational efficiency.

3. Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying highly technical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple Sources.

4. Provide insight from initial concept to the fully tested production and communicate results to a broad range of audiences. Routinely presents to management and other stakeholders

5. Effectively uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.

6. Uses data, statistical and quantitative analysis, basic modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision making.

7. Provide recommendations to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes

8. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.

9. Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data analytics

10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data-driven decision-making.

11. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

12. Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics. information systems, computer science, or quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, accounting or finance.
  • Five (5) years’ work experience in data analysis, business intelligence, quantitative business problem solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development and/or predictive analytics in transportation or logistics industry.
  • Superior analytical skills with diverse analytics and statistical software and applications.
  • Experience with big data technologies and cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and data visualization design
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and identify patterns, data exceptions, and anomalies.

JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Some travel required

Preferred Qualifications: This role reports to the MD, Internal Audit, and supports analytics needs across Internal Audit including risk assessment, audit execution, enterprise risk management, SOX testing, and Board-level reporting. The position requires the ability to anticipate executive information needs, develop insightful visualizations, and apply an understanding of audit processes to deliver high quality analytical support.

Additional Details: This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.
