POSITION OVERVIEW:
Assist with maintaining and monitoring the insurance procurement process. Under direct supervision, ensure proper controls to address organizational risk tolerance.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with maintaining and monitoring the insurance procurement process, ensuring proper controls to address organization risk tolerance.
Assist in the analysis, design and execution of risk transfer programs for the company, including but not limited to captive management, claims tracking and alternative risk financing options.
Identify and assess market conditions and emerging risks; analyze and communicate changes to insurance programs.
Develop data/analytics and assist in the implementation of procedures, processes and controls of insurance programs.
Provide assistance in the preparation and recommendations of the annual budget, providing timely and accurate financial forecasting and reporting of metric.
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Risk Management or equivalent work experience plus one (1) year experience in Risk Management, Insurance/brokerage or Finance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce concise documents for executive management
- Strategic thinking skills required
- Demonstrate initiative and be solutions-oriented
- Ability to work at a fast pace with strict deadlines and handle multiple projects concurrently
- Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally; including presentation skills

Additional Details: This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.
