Area Manager Facilities and Material Handling Maintenance (m/f/d)
You will be responsible for maintaining technical building equipment and the material handling equipment in the Hannover European Road Network site in Germany with a local Team of Technicians.
This is a pivotal position to strengthen our internal expertise in maintaining automated sortation equipment.
Your objectives:
You will build, develop and lead a team of technicians to ensure facility and material handling maintenance.
You support operational continuity by providing effective services or solutions for maintenance and repair for operational facility and material handling equipment.
You will ensure service providers comply with contractual agreements and health and safety requirements.
You lead defined local initiatives to improve maintenance solution concepts and projects (synergies, methods, planning, etc.).
You advise and support all management levels as well as less experienced colleagues.
You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and control of annual building services maintenance.
You coordinate the processing and follow-up of fault & downtime reports with the goal to improve machine reliability and availability.
You are responsible for the development of maintenance concepts and their execution at the site.
You will be responsible for processing and presenting maintenance KPI's, like availability, costs and sustainability on a monthly basis.
You assist your main customer, the regional and local Operations, by elaborating and implementing technical solutions to support their efficiency.
Your profile:
Ideally a successfully completed degree in the field of facility management, mechanical or electrical engineering or alternatively with a business or technical specialization.
Ideally several years of experience in leading technical / maintenance teams
Pronounced technical expertise
Profound knowledge of German and English language
Basic knowledge of heating, ventilation, plumbing and electrical engineering
Good communication skills and able adjust them according to the audience.
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Experience in evaluating performance requirements and setting priorities
Well-developed understanding of contractual processes
Experience in defining and specifying performance expectations to manage supplier performance
Good knowledge of the operation of mechanical and electrical systems as well as plant equipment and building services equipment
Independent organization of various repair, refurbishment and/or build out requests and projects
Experience in coordinating various parties remotely, such as suppliers or internal staff
Solution-oriented thinking when dealing with operational and technical problems
