Associate Employee Relations Rep

This is an interview position.
Provides employee relations support, guidance and counsel to both management and employees fostering consistent and fair people practices to specific workgroups (approx 400 - 600 employees). Facilitates the problem-solving process of employee relations’ issues with varying degrees of complexity, internal investigations, performance, etc. while enabling a highly motivated, engaged workforce in a union free environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) or ability to successfully complete within 12 months of hire required
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) preferred
Strong knowledge of federal, provincial and local laws, specifically Employment Equity, Canada Labour Code, Canadian Human Rights Code, Canadian Human Rights Act, Employment Standards Act
Basic level proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Microsoft Outlook - Stamdard
Must own a vehicle
Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record
Some travel required

Additional Details: This is a TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT position. There are two temporary assignment positions: One position is for up to twelve months. The other position is for up to eighteen months.
